                          THESE ARE THE MOST COMMON SHOOTING STYLES WE'VE SEEN

- REQUIREMENTS FOR A REGULATION SHOT:
- FLICK THE PUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE PUCK
- THE HAND MUST NOT MOVE FORWARD

-COMMENTS: ANCHOR YOUR HAND FOR A SMOOTH, CLEAN AND CONSISTENT SHOT
                     FIND A SHOT THAT IS NATURAL. EXPERIMENT UNTIL YOU 'FIND YOUR SHOT'

Description: middle finger shot, hand turned to the side.
Nicknames: 'sidewinder', 'sidebar', 'sideshot'. 
Comments: very common shot, easy to see the puck.

Description:  middle finger shot, hand in upright position.
Nicknames:  'piano' 'the basher'
Comments:  not seen a lot, hard to see the puck.

Description: index finger shot, hand held upright.
Nicknames: 'flea-flicker'
Comments: maybe the best beginner shot,  and used by some of the best players in the world.

Description: index finger shot, hand laid to the side.
Nicknames: 'sidewinder flea flicker'
Comments: easy to see the puck.

Description: index finger shot, fingers are set up like a tripod for support.
Nicknames:  'the Jeremy' after the guy that invented it, 'the tower shot'.
Comments: unusual, but is very effective and stable.
Allows you can take a few practice swings with your index, like using a putter.

Description: middle finger shot, hand held sideways, 
flick is produced by nesting the middle finger against the index finger, and then releasing it. 
Nicknames: 'scissors shot', 'carrom shot' 'carombola shot'
Comments: very commonly used by carrom players world wide, can be difficult to learn and master.
